Why there's a wallet gate
Every token page, wallet page and intelligence scan in the terminal is dynamic and provider-backed. That is what makes it good, and it is also what makes it expensive when automated crawlers discover it and start pulling thousands of pages nobody asked for.
That already happened once, and it is why the terminal spent a while offline. The gate is the fix: one wallet signature to get in, which costs a real person a couple of seconds and costs a bot the whole trip. It is not an account, there is no email in it, and it is what keeps the terminal free to use rather than metered.
This site, the one you are reading, is completely static. No database, no RPC, no wallet code. Crawl it as hard as you like.
FAQ
Is the Solana terminal live?
Yes. Connect a wallet and you are in. What is not live yet is $REKT and everything priced in it, which means Degen Pass and the features behind it. The Roadmap says which is which, and never claims more than is true.
Is the terminal already built, or is this vapourware?
Built, and live. Every feature previewed on this page exists and is running: discovery, token pages and charts, Stalking, Bag Class, Degen DNA, Supply Trail, Degen HQ and non-custodial trading through Jupiter. The screenshots on this page are the real product, not mockups. Dev's Rap Sheet and Holder Network are the two marked coming soon, and they are genuinely not there yet.
Why does it need a wallet at all?
The terminal's pages are dynamic and provider-backed, so every automated crawler hitting them costs real money in RPC and API calls. That is what took it offline once. One wallet signature at the door costs a person two seconds and costs a bot the whole trip, which is what keeps the terminal free rather than metered. The public site you are reading is static, so crawlers can hammer it all day for nothing.
Do I need a wallet or an account to use it?
You connect a wallet to get in, which is one signature proving the wallet is yours. There is no account, no email and no password. The gate exists to keep bots off the market data the terminal pays for, which is what keeps it free to use. RektDefender is non-custodial: you sign, it never holds your funds.
Can I buy advertising now?
Yes. Placements are bought inside the terminal, on the token you want to promote, and paid in USDC or SOL from your own wallet. The Advertise page explains the placements and the audience before you go anywhere near a checkout.
